Now before we get into who won this award, let’s talk about how this is going to work. As you all know, we are the most inclusive DFFL there is, so naturally this award is non-binary. The SOTW can be given to any person, animal, object, TV show, podcast, etc. Say you had your fish choose between two starters that week and it helped you win the league, that fish is SOTW! Maybe you tinkered Sunday morning on the dirty toilet in Denny’s, guess what? That toilet is SOTW! I think you get the picture. GT will be the contact for all SOTW nominations.
Week 5 was the week of Favorites. not one underdog was able to pull off an upset. Whenever this happens it is always a little difficult to pick the SOTW. Luckily I received multiple nominations this week. Finally the other league members are pulling their weight.
Now the moment you have all been waiting for! Your SOTW for Week 5 is ……….
That’s right, the Buffalo Bills are your SOTW! Who would have thought Buffalo would ever be able to win this prestigious award? Well not only did Buffalo win their game against the heavily favored Titans, they also made our very own Don McCann a very happy man.
Let’s just say Don got his swag back this year. Not too long ago he considered himself the Sacko Frontrunner and was as swagless as they come. But this season has brought a few unexpected surprises across the league and the return of Swaggy D was one of them.
Don had started out 3-1 and was in second place in his division. He was feeling good and returned to his normal confident *cough*cocky*cough* self. Don pulled a ballsy move by streaming the Bills D/ST this past week. He said this move was going to result in a Win-Win-Win for him this week.
Well, slap me with a moldy turnip and color me flabbergasted! He was right! The Bills D/ST dominated this week and gave Don a triple entendre!
What was this Win-Win-Win Don was speaking of? Well I had an exclusive one question interview with Swaggy D to find out.
Me: “What was your win win win?”
Swaggy D:
” 1. I won fantasy.
2. I beat Keegan with the Bills D, AKA his team.
3. Nick’s team (the Titans) lost which is a win for us all”
Not only does Swaggy D like to win for his own enjoyment, he also likes to see his friends suffer. he used some psychological warfare to beat Keegan, and got to watch live in Buffalo as his D/ST crushed Nick’s spirit.
